Tremper Longman III is Distinguished Scholar and Professor Emeritus of Biblical Studies at Westmont College, where he held the Robert H. Gundry chair in biblical studies from 1998 until his retirement in 2017. The author of more than thirty-five books, including commentaries on Ecclesiastes and the Song of Songs, he also served as a senior translator for the New Living Translation.
